The current dev team doesn't have control of the forums or website. Eventually that will change.

To fix your sound problems, try this test build:

One of the major recent changes in SNES9x was a completely new audio core, which is much more accurate than the old one.

The drawback is that it needs a more powerful computer.

Well... anyway, some time back that I need to get a new PC.

Now I have more reasons. ^_^ A little more powerful PC wouldn't be a waste.

Thanks for the support, Sparro. See ya.

Hi all!
Once we are talking about the sound can not help but ask.
In older versions it was possible to disable interpolation of sound and sound becomes clearer. However, in 1.53 of this function unfortunately I have not discovered.
The whole question is how to make the sound more pure and better?
Because the sound by default does not suit.

Err... You do know that the SNES hardware itself has gaussian interpolation on audio, right?

Why are people so determined to disable interpolation, it sounds like crap without it, you know. The Sony S-DSP/SPC700 had Gaussian interpolation on the chip, as well as ADSR, FIR, etc. Unless his PC can't handle Snes9x, there's no reason to have it switched off. Heck, if he wants it to sound as bad as Zsnes, go right ahead.

The Snes had the frequency set at 32000Hz with Gaussian; 48000Hz would make it sound a little crisper I guess, but disabling the filter would make it sound scratchier than nails on a chalkboard. Talk about unreasonable requests.
