It appears that evne though the 7z and other extension files appear i nthe rom selection lister, it can't actually open them.

is 1.53 using FEX

if not

a modified FEX that fixes the lzma memory leak and adds lzma2 and other type support.

I know this is off topic, but how is Snes9x 1.54 coming along and what new features will it have?

3. DO NOT ask when the next version of Snes9x is out. It's out when it's out, and no sooner. Begging the devs/porters will likely delay any forthcoming releases.

What operating system are you using? 32 or 64bit? Version of Snes9x? Is the text at the bottom of the window white when you load the game?
These suggestions are usually the solution to your issue!

BIG difference here. he's only asking about the current progress of the next release of Snes9X, NOT when a new version will be out.

As long as we don't have half the board or whatever asking about the current progress within a span of say, days, it's cool.

I wasn't asking when it was coming out, only what we can expect (what's new), but since I violated the unwritten law, I'll just bugger off.

Yeah I guess that was bound to happen. I just don't want to deal with another nonexistent Zsnes release (that is, have something announced and then not happen).

Just found another "sound processing core" related game bug.

When playing the first Mortal Kombat game with file name "Mortal Kombat (U)[!]" (the verified good ROM Dump) there is an annoying rattling sound that plays all throughout the game as you play. The rattling almost sounds as if you are watching a movie on a movie projector so you could imagine you are viewing one, but still it does sound annoying :D

That has already been fixed - you can use one of the newer testbuilds if you are on windows.
