Hi, I'm new here, so if this is not the proper place to request this then apologies.
I upgraded from a Windows 7 laptop to a Win 10 PC recently. Needless to say, the PC is much better spec-wise. However, when I tried to set up on Snes9x on the new computer I couldn't get it to perform properly. On my laptop I could get mostly consistent framerates, about 50-60fps depending on the game, but here it sometimes locks at 30, and if I manage to get higher it freezes and stutters constantly. I managed to get my Gamecube emulator running well, so I can't figure out why I'm having trouble here.
I'm running with:
Windows 10 64-bit
Intel Core i7-7700 3.60 GHz
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050
Thanks for any help.

Did you try changing the video output method?
