I've been playing "A Link to the Past" & "Super Metroid" on PSP's snes9xTYL... which am told is based off snes9x 1.39.
Now I like to continue my 1.39 save states on my iPad which uses snes9x 1.43.
Can Windows snes9x 1.43 import 1.39 states?

Yes, the only incompatibility is 1.51 and older to 1.52 and newer because we switched sound cores in 1.52.

Re: QUERY: save states between 1.39 & 1.43
Yes, I can see the change in the changes.txt
I mean, it really sucks when we have progressed so far in Final Fantasy big games in 1.43 or 1.51... then we upgrade to 1.52 and above.... and we can't continue the games anymore
Why wasn't there some converter or export or importer made?Snes9x 1.52
- IMPORTANT NOTICE: The structure of savestates (also known
as snapshots / freeze files) is incompatible with older
versions! Snes9x 1.52 cannot read the savestates created
by 1.51 or older. (zones)

You can use a regular in-game save, these are compatible.

True, but I prefer snes9x Save States because they are quicker to save/load.
Plus, I follow walkthroughs, cut by chapters.. and at the end of each chapter I would save state.
Normally, RPG games like Final Fantasy will note let you save unless at a "save point".

Re: QUERY: save states between 1.39 & 1.43
I was not suggesting you stop using save states. I was suggesting you use an in-game save once to move from < 1.52 to a recent version. Load your state in you current version, save in-game, and then load that in 1.53 and create new savestates as you continue on.
