Quicksaves lost once I exit snes9x

I can quicksave in the game and I can load those quicksaves so long as I don't exit snes9x. If I do exit it though, the next time I enter the quicksaves are all gone and resetted. I don't have them anymore. I downloaded snes9x 1.43 but I believe I copied the game files from an older computer. Any suggestions on this?
