Quicksaves lost once I exit snes9x

I can quicksave in the game and I can load those quicksaves so long as I don't exit snes9x. If I do exit it though, the next time I enter the quicksaves are all gone and resetted. I don't have them anymore. I downloaded snes9x 1.43 but I believe I copied the game files from an older computer. Any suggestions on this?

What are you computer's specifications? (CPU, RAM, Graphics card, OS)

Also try upgrading to the latest version of Snes9x:
