When I start a game Aero gets turned

My recording software only works when aero is on and when ever I start a game, it changes to basic. Is there a way to stop this change?

What version of Snes9x are you running? What graphics card do you have? What recording software are you using for recording?

Use D3D or OpenGL as video output mode, those should not deactivate aero.
