Snes9x.com

I run Snes9x 1.52 gtk downloaded from http://snes9x.ipherswipsite.com/
under Mandriva Linux 2010.
Everything works perfectly except that I cannot "quicksave", snapshot file is not created whatever I do.
How can this be fixed?
PS: I downloaded Snes9x 1.52 windows port from the same site and run it under WINE. The funniest thing is that snapshots created by winduz port of emulator can be "quickloaded" from Linux version of emulator

Save states are cross-platform compatible with the exception of Macs. (IIRC)

I would try downloading from my website just to make sure that it isn't borked: http://camoyoshi.antiblog.com/snes9x

Then try recompiling.
