Say I opened the game and played it to a certain point,, if I close it and then open it again, can I rewind to a point in the previous play session?

(Sorry I'm a newbie to emulation.

Apparently you can by changing the buffer in "Emulation->settings"

I can't find it myself, but It's supposedly there
