Wiimote dpad issue and channel freeze

So I recently installed the channels using the homebrew channel on my vWii and when I boot up the channel it black screens and my wii crashes, so I tried using the snes9xgx on the homebrew channel, and it worked but It can't use the dpad in any game now, and if I try to map it, it freezes. What do I do, and also I used a 16gb sd card
