How to change the position of the screen

For a better understanding of my setup, I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S7, and I'm playing in portrait mode.
My game's screen is positioned directly in the middle of my phone's screen, I'm wanting to push the game's screen up towards the top of my phone so the on-screen controls aren't overlapping the game's screen. I know how to customize the positioning of my buttons, but I don't know how to change my screen's positioning. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thank you.
