problem with cheat searching

Hi. I just downloaded snes9x v1.60 and I've being messing around with the cheat search feature. I've been trying to add codes to the main cheats window with the ADD CHEAT button but it doesn't seem to work, the codes are not added

I can add codes from the CHEAT ENTRY window, but not from the CHEAT SEARCH window

It works fine for me - I select an address, press add cheat, enter a new value and description, then press ok. It is then added to the list of cheats.
