Running LUA in SNES9x

Not sure if this is the right place but I'm trying to run a lua script, MarI/O on a mac. I heard that SNES9x supports lua scripts, but I have no idea what to do. I found an old forum post with a lua engine thing, but it's unclear and has a dead link.

The re-recording version supports LUA.
