I don't know how to use the speed up function in snes9x. I set it up on the "customize hotkeys" menu. the assigned button is spacebar.
I push spacebar, and the image is still exactly the same speed, no change at all. HELP ME

Do you mean fast forward? I thought the default button was the tab button...
otherwise you can slow down and speed up the timing (measured in ms) with +/- IIRC

yes, I do mean the fast forward option.
as in, you hold down a button and you can skip all the boring dialogue and stuff.

+/- are the plus and minus keys on your keyboard.

What operating system are you using? 32 or 64bit? Version of Snes9x? Is the text at the bottom of the window white when you load the game?
