Not able to map diagonals on D-Pad in SNES9x 1.57 64-bit Using 8Bitdo SN30 Controller

Post by gone2tokyo »

Hello!

As stated in the title, I'm unable to map the inputs for the diagonal directions on the D-Pad of my RBitdo SN30 Bluetooth controller in SNES9x 1.57 64-Bit. When I try to do diagonal directions on the D-Pad in the Input Configuration settings, it only allows me to press one direction. I am running the program as an Admin.

For Example: If I try to do Up+Left, I only Left will show up in the Input Configuration settings for the Buttons.

I read another post on these forums with the exact same problem and the fix was this: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=12753&p=60815&hilit=8bitdo#p60815

The fix did not work for me, unfortunately.

I have the 8Bitdo controller updated to the newest firmware (6.14) and I've tried multiple versions of SNES9x, both 64-Bit and 32-Bit. I am on WIndows 10 64-Bit. I have tried mapping the buttons via plugging in the controller to USB and using Bluetooth.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you very much in advance!

1. did you try adding them to the config file manually?

2. current version of snes9x is 1.60 - any particular reason you're using an old version?

Thanks for the reply!

1. I did try but after I edit the config file the buttons show up as Disabled in the Input Configuration in SNES9x afterwards.

2. No reason. I guess I thought I had the newest. I was getting the file from Zophar. I'll try the newest version.

THANK YOU! That worked!
I didn't realize that the buttons had to be written backwards like that.

Big time help. Thanks again!
