Import saves from snes9x 1.60 to snes9x EX+

Post by meshuggah123 »

Hi,

this is my first post, I tried to search the topic but I could not find it.

I am having trouble importing my save states from my pc (snes9x 1.60) to my snes9s EX+ on my Android.

Is this possible and if so how do I do it?

Thank you

Based on the author's update page, snes9x EX+ is still based off of snes9x 1.55 - unfortunately, this means save states will not be cross-compatible.

Battery saves should work, though.

I see, could you redirect me to a guide to move battery states then? I am having trouble going by myself, do I have to create specific folders or what? And where do I find the file, I can hardly recognize it. Thanks for the patience

battery saves will have the filename romname.srm and are generally saved in the ROM directory for snes9x ex and in the defined save path for desktop snes9x. (search your computer for *.srm if you can't find them). they can be copied in the same manner you copied your games over.

note that if the game doesn't have its own save capability, there won't be a battery save file.

I don’t have a save file, I can’t add it myself there?
