Unable to do background input with 8bitdo gbros adapter

so I have a lot of stuff I have checked and made sure and the setup is pretty specific on what's not working. So I have an iBuffalo that works fine for background inputs, use a tracker and don't have to click back into the emulator. I just recently got an 8BitDo gbros adapter to use my SNES mini controller with snes9x 1.53 or 1.55. So here's where the weird happens, I can't do background inputs when I click off the emulator. Everything works fine while in, no issues shows inputs fine... Click off, not working. Checked settings again.. remapped, nothing while the emulator isn't the primary window. I'm at a loss... I checked the .conf file, everything looks solid from what I can tell. Now, I had this issue with an XBone controller, and the solution was a driver that was native in Windows that came already in the OS. Loaded that driver in it fixed it. I updated the 8BitDo adapter to current firmware/driver 1.22 (I believe is the correct number) and same issue.
ATM 1.55 is on the joypad#2 input because I attempted to see if 1 was just goofed and 2 may work, the same issue persisted.

I mean, is there anything you can offer more than just this? Because communities are pretty harsh on what versions are allowed. I don't mind trying to use the newest version, but something tells me that the version isn't the issue as 1.53 is one of the most stable for almost every instance. But, I will try 1.58.

So yeah... downloaded the 1.58 and used it. Same issue. Made sure that background input was turned on, the emulator is running and the sound is going and inputs are not being detected by my snes mini controller plugged into my 8bitdo gbros Bluetooth adapter.
