Properly refactor a sfc filename

Post by Vaeth » Fri Nov 27, 2015 8:44 am

Hello,

I have patched my Super Mario World game to play Kaizo Mario World, but I want to change the filename I gave it to keep up with a naming convention for the sequels. I can change the filename already, but when I reload the game, I lose all my progress and freeze states.

How would I change MarioPatch.sfc to KaizoMario.sfc and update all my save states and in game files? (sfc is my extension and I am on a Mac)

search for "MarioPatch.*" and rename all resulting files "KaizoMario.*" (without modifying their extension).
