Re: Auto-save SRAM (game saves in general)
"Auto-save S-RAM" controls the delay between changes to the SRAM and when s9x automatically saves the sram file. This prevents writing to disk after every single byte change. You should however not need to change this to a smaller value, since s9x automatically saves the SRAM file when you...

Re: SnesX keeps adding itself to the open with list!
There is no way to stop it from adding itself to the open with list. This is necessary for the jump list feature to work.
You can restrict the extensions by editing the valid.ext file, this will however also remove these extensions from the open rom dialog.

How does it not work? When you go to "Input->Input Configuration" you should be able to assign the buttons of your controller.

Re: Error when loading ROMs from WinRAR archives?!
I'm guessing these are .7z archives, which snes9x does not directly support. So you will have to extract those roms you want to play.

Re: OpenAL Bug/Support Windows Vista 64-bit
I haven't tried OpenAL since the time I first introduced it - it might be that it is simply no longer working. FMODEx is also no longer supported by fmod, so I don't think this will get fixed.

You could try to determine which line causes the invalid parameter output by stepping through. It should be somewhere in S9xMovieGetInfo.

Re: QUERY: save states between 1.39 & 1.43
I was not suggesting you stop using save states. I was suggesting you use an in-game save once to move from < 1.52 to a recent version. Load your state in you current version, save in-game, and then load that in 1.53 and create new savestates as you continue on.

The most recent testbuild should fix this - it should now work for all controllers.
