1. do a search for *.srm across both drives. report all locations found.
2. post the full path to snes9x (presumably "D:\Games\Emulator stuff\Emulators\SNES9x")
3. post the defined save path as showin in Emulation -> Settings...

Super Mario RPG uses a specialized coprocessor. If the 3DS version of Snes9X doesn't support that, it won't work.

there's no difference in battery saves; if they're not working, your save path is probably defined wrong. save states aren't guaranteed to be compatible across versions; however, i haven't seen anything to suggest the 32-bit and 64-bit builds generate different output. if they're the same version nu...

all you have to do is rename the srm to match, nothing more. if that's not working, either:
- you typoed something, or
- the srm you renamed isn't actually the one you've been using (can happen if the path isn't defined) - do a full search for *.srm and see if it's actually in a different location.
