At least Snes9x can emulate SuperFX games at their proper speed (unlike Zsnes).

Give this emulator a try, it's not Snes9x, but SnesGT, which is way better than Zsnes (uses Anomie's SPC emulator, which is no. 2 in accuracy). http://snesemu.black-ship.net/emus/snes ... 230b7e.zip It was programmed by a couple of Japanese dudes, but this one's translated.

Make sure UAC (user account control) and DEP (data execution prevention) are both turned off in Windows 7. Boy did I go through hell with those "features" with Snes9x and other emulators. That may be causing it freak out like that.

That's what password key loggers are for.

It's not Snes9x' fault, update drivers, use version 1.53, update DirectX. If using Windows 7, use XAudio2 or OpenAL in the Snes9x menu; DirectSound works like crap on Win7. Here's a video of Yoshi's Island running on Snes9x 1.53, using XAudio2 for sound output. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox7Jq87...

Works fine on my end, and I have version 1.53 and Windows 7, when the ROM boots up, do you see white, yellow or red text? Try unzipping it.

You need to be more specific. Are you using Mac, Linux or Windows? What sound settings? What version of Snes9x? 1.51, 1.52 or 1.53? DirectSound, XAudio2, SDL?

Typically pressing any key from F1 to F9 will automatically load the previously created state(s). There's no popup menu like Zsnes as far as I know.

First of all, it's not necessary to triple post, and using foul language isn't going to get you help any faster.

Why are people so determined to disable interpolation, it sounds like crap without it, you know. The Sony S-DSP/SPC700 had Gaussian interpolation on the chip, as well as ADSR, FIR, etc. Unless his PC can't handle Snes9x, there's no reason to have it switched off. Heck, if he wants it to sound as bad...

Snes9x in Japanese?

I have a quick question...so I was thinking of giving some of my friends in Japan Snes9x, but the issue with that is it isn't in Japanese. Is there a language file or template I can alter in order to make the menu in Japanese? I have no clue how to go about doing that.

Most PAL games were never optimized to run at NTSC speeds, hence the slow audio, which is roughly 18% slower than the NTSC version. There's nothing that can be changed in the emulator's code to get around this.

Use a tool called NRST and Snes Purify (which comes with Bsnes from Byuu's website) to make sure your ROM dumps aren't corrupted and/or have headers. If they do, you can purify the ROMs and they should run correctly. I know the ROM I have of Chrono Trigger run perfectly fine so it can't be Snes9x's ...
