Are you using Save States or actual S-RAM saves (i.e. saving in-game)?
Save States from versions 1.51 and older will not work with Snes9x 1.52 and newer, due to the new sound core.

Re: Snes9x 1.5.3 on Debian Wheezy no Sound
The bit that really matters is the [checksum ok] part; that's telling me that your ROM is legitimate and not patched or modified in any way. :) So we know it's not the game in particular; have you tried adjusting the sound settings for Snes9x? Also, what sound card do you have? (note that I don't kn...

Please don't mention where you got the ROM from; it's against forum policy.
All that matters is if the ROM is valid; when you start up the game, what color is the text that appears on the screen when you start the game?

Does the patch require a specific emulator or even a specific version of a specific emulator?

Probably because your computer is older; what are the specifications of your computer (CPU speed, RAM, Graphic Card, Operating System...)poetrydiva wrote: I haven't been able to try it with BSNES because the sounds don't work and there's an extreme lag to the point of freezing.

When you load the ROM in Snes9x, there is some text that appears at the bottom of the window; what color is this text?

http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key/JoyToKey%20English%20Version.htm Take a look at JoyToKey; it'll let you map controller functions to keyboard keystrokes or mouse movement. Try looking around for tutorials on Youtube... it takes a little bit of work to get used to the program, but once you do, it...

For now the ROM has been removed. as Camo said, it IS a gray area... and please let the mods decide what gets moderated from now on camo. Not to mention a similar discussion in general where Ryan said that Nintendo, etc haven't released their ROMs as abandonware. How was I deciding what was getting...

Re: Current version of SNES9x has buggy cheat
one of the devs could ask you for the ROM via PM if they couldn't get it themselves. there's no need for a publicly-posted ROM link. Uhhhhhhhhhhhh, I don't think that's allowed either; Admins can view your PMs, and it still wouldn't be allowed here because you're still using this website as a vesse...

Re: Defrosting saved games
Has to be a Mac culture thing. For most it's Save/Load, but for Mac it's Freeze/Defrost. Think Different, and such. http://omnipotent-idiot.com/pics/smilies/facepalm.gif God, I know that feeling. Perhaps this will make you feel better: http://ihateapple.floorchan.org/anti-apple-content/images-pictu...

Defrosting is basically the term for resuming a save (AKA freeze) state.Videogamer555 wrote:What's defrosting? Is this some new feature?

Re: Current version of SNES9x has buggy cheat
I can vouch for the ROM posting link; from my judgement it'd be fine to post that here... though a tad gray-area. Hopefully the mods will understand as well.
Sadly I can't help you here since I don't have much experience using the cheats engine in Snes9x (I don't usually cheat ).
Good luck!

Re: Defrosting saved games
You can save games just like you normally would within the game. For games with a save system (SRAM), just save your game like you would on a regular console. For games with a password system, take a screenshot of the emulator window (File > Save Screenshot) or type/write the password down. Hopefull...

Yes, this ABSOLUTELY violates the SNES9x license, which states that absolutely no commercial derivatives of the source are allowed.

3. DO NOT ask when the next version of Snes9x is out. It's out when it's out, and no sooner. Begging the devs/porters will likely delay any forthcoming releases.

Re: snes9x .nnn save format?
Snes9x 1.51 is compatible with .zst save states because of it's similar SPC sound core. Snes9x 1.52 and later use the blargg sound core for SPC emulation, and have a different structure due to this. This means that .zst save states are incompatible. Also, if you're trying to extract resources from t...
