Re: Top Gear 2 / sound / dude
Hey there! Unfortunately I didn't find any way to disable the OSD during game startup. I can confirm I have Top Gear 2 on a real SNES and it cuts out some parts of the music as the sound chip shares some audio channels with the sound effects and music, so when the tire skidding sound effect plays, s...

Late to the party again with mirrors. My bad... Got 1.58 in there, too. Re: Snes9x speed boost
The goal of Snes9x is to emulate correctly, SNES lag included. If you're looking for a emulator that will "overclock" as needed for certain games, UOSNES might be a better option, as it uses tons of per-game specific tweaks to optimize and make each game run smoothly (despite it not being ...

If it's Intel based, maybe?
If it's not Intel based, you'll have to see if there's a different emulator out there or a port of Snes9x to not-Intel.

Re: Strange graphical ripple effect?
That's minor, almost trivial amounts of screen tearing that could be fixed if your graphics card, monitor, and Snes9x are all running at the same frame rate. I mean, is it REALLY bad for you and totally noticeable or is it something subtle like in the video? There's only so much you can do but it's ...

The new sound core that we implemented in version 1.52 deprecated this feature, sorry.

Re: Recommended Video Settings
The optimal video settings varies between computers greatly so it's hard to recommend a particular setting over another. Snes9x by default comes with what I like to call "safe" settings meaning that there's a good chance that the computer can run Snes9x without modifying any settings right...

Re: How to show game screen in web browser
Snes9x cannot run using any current web browser technologies such as Flash or Java. It would need to be ported to a different programming language that can be loaded through a web browser. Currently there is only one SNES emulator that runs using Java but it is outdated, doesn't support most games, ...

Re: Stuck on the 'the end' screen on super mario world..
Actually, you're supposed to shut the game off after beating Bowser; that way if you want you can face Bowser again if you wish. It does save after you beat him, but the game doesn't indicate that you've beaten him previously or anything, if that's what you're wondering.

Re: what is the latest rev?
If you Google around a bit you can sometimes find details about what's changed from version to version. Generally you'll want the version that has the highest revision number or letter (e.g Rev. 2 or Rev. B, etc).

What version of Snes9x are you running? What graphics card do you have? What recording software are you using for recording?

Snes9x 1.5.8 doesn't exist. The newest stable version (or codebase for mobile ports) is 1.53 at this time.

Re: Snes9x wont recognize controllers
That is probably the case unfortunately.
I would recommend getting the Tomee USB SNES controllers, as you don't need an adapter for them and they feel fairly similar to the original 1st party controllers.

Re: Keyboard on osX
Your keyboard may limit the amount of keys you can use at one time. Have you tried using a Joystick or Gamepad that you connect to your computer via USB, or even a separate keyboard you can attach via USB? Also, what version of Snes9x are you using, and is the ROM info text that appears at the botto...

From what I understand there is a patched version of the ROM so you don't have to do this kind of stuff. I'm not sure though, as I'm not familiar with BS Zelda.

Re: Slowdown Super Mario World 2
This is probably in part to the inefficient Super FX emulation core that Snes9x currently has. MarioSuper, what hardware specifications do you have on your computer? (CPU, RAM, OS, etc.) So it has something to do with the Super FX emulation. No way to fix it?. ATM, no. We're working on it though...
