SNES9x file compatibility windows to mac
I'm planning to switch from MACOS emulation to Windows emulation, and I was wondering will any MacOS SNES9x files such as save data, freezes or cheats work with any windows versions? This is the 32BIt mac emulator version and data that's being used, would they work with Windows SNES9x emulators, eit...

Any chance of a 64 bit SNES9x port for Mac
I'm quite attached to SNES9x and can't make the jump to catalina and beyond, unless I know I can have SNES9x emulator with all my old save states, SRM files and cheats. I'm wondering if anyone is working on a 64 bit of SNES9x for Catalina and beyond, because there is a market for it? There are reaso...

Re: 64-bit Mac Version
As it turns out, 32-bit apps are no longer supported on macOS. Is there a reason there isn't a 64-bit Mac version? A version will have to be made to support the newer OS versions. Whats the latest version of mac after Sierra that can run the most advanced SNES9x version? I've been using Sierra for ...

OS X compatibility guide?
So I heard Catalina only runs a very basic version of SNES9x with limited features without recording, cheats, SNESmouse and the like. This made me wonder, how are version 10.13 High Sierra, 10.14 Mojave and 11 Big Sur with SNES9X? I was wondering if there was any sort of compatibility chart or at le...

An easy way to convert SMV files?
Is there an easy way to convert SMV files to AVIs and the like, like a custom program? Or is the only way to load the SMV in your SNES9x then record the SNES9x with a secondary program like OBS?

Re: Various troubles with SNES9X and Sierra
A new observation, when the cheats don't load despite being enabled, if I click disable cheats, then re-anble the cheats will activate.
This doesn't happen on other MAC operating systems when using SNES9x.
I'll have to look into the freezing as well.

Re: Various troubles with SNES9X and Sierra
The new .CHT files I've created with the latest version isn't working either. Again EL Capitan works. I should note, I loaded the older version of SNES9x in the screenshot above, because it wasn't working on the newer version, despite displaying correctly and cheats being enabled(the cheat sections ...

Re: Various troubles with SNES9X and Sierra
The cheat format changed in 1.56. Loading a game in a version older than that will corrupt any cheat files for that game that might have been created in a newer version. A corrupt cheat file may also cause freezes. If you simply must use an older version, you have to delete your .cht files. Honestl...

Re: Various troubles with SNES9X and Sierra
Checking again, I do have a 1.51 version, when I haven't used to load a game, the codes still don't work half the time.

Re: Various troubles with SNES9X and Sierra
Is there anything I can do? Quit switching back and forth between versions. When you go back to an old version it doesn't know about the new cheat format and tries to load it in binary form, and as a result it loads garbage. Then, because the old version knows how to format its own cheat file, when...

Various troubles with SNES9X and Sierra
When I load my SNES9X 1.57 or earlier versions, it sometimes freezes and an issue that often happens is the either SRAMS or the .CHT files are not loaded. Another issue with the .CHT files is they're often loaded incorrectly and I get the result in the attached file, resulting in the cheats no longe...
