Re: SNES9x CGP Shaders - H4qx-768-hd

I get 3 different shaders with that name when Googling it (view raw then save as for the 2 code repo ones). I'm not trying to locate the Hq2x version. That's what I already use. What I'm searching for is the hq4x version of the CG file that one user used himself, posted results from last year using...

Is there a way to implement OpenAL separately?

OpenAL Bug/Support Windows Vista 64-bit

I have tried to use OpenAL with SNES9X....for Windows Vista...and it seems to crash the app when it is selected in the sound menu. Does it require an OpenAL dynamic link library file (.dll) in the root directory for SNES9x? or is there something I have to prepare manually in the configuration file? ...

Re: Star Fox codes

I know Star Fox wasn't compatible with game genie due to having the Super-FX chip, but since we play on emus, did anyone found codes for this game? specifically the one I am needing is a code that prevent wings damage ( the single most annoying feature in this game, if you lost a wing you better su...

I am a tad late to the party...but I have been extensively testing the XBRZ filter...So far...I have not detected any grey lines other filters have made with DKC2 and the lines that even XBR leaves behind are gone....While this filter might not make it into the next version...I'd love to start exper...

Re: Multiplayer with 2 USB Controller Issues

Yes the SNES Joypad is selected and both were able to be configured and enabled in each of the first two Joypad profiles. I've tried this in TMNT: Turtles in Time and Super Mario Kart. First...make sure to plug in the USB Joypad to the SNES Controller...then plug it into the computer...then start S...

Re: Slowdown in Secret of Mana and Seiken Densetsu 3

Unfortunately there really isn't in the Emulator settings. I have a moderately high end computer and it sometimes does that. Although, if your computer has Speed Stepping turned on at the BIOS...that might be one of the causes, turning it off makes the CPU run at its full designated clock speed. Als...

Feature Request XAudio2 Stereo Upmixing

Just wondering if this would be possible...the code isn't mine..but it also does not seem to contain copyright..Since you only need the common matrices for the up-mix, I hope this can be useful to you.

Re: questions snes9x

Since I cannot send attachment files...you will have to download the shaders from the GIT repository... Just download this... https://github.com/libretro/common-shaders/archive/master.zip ...and then in your SNES9x folder...create a new folder named Shaders....Empty the contents of the zip file you ...

Re: questions snes9x

I would try setting the SNES9x video settings and tick the aspect ratio box. The distortion comes from the default video settings in the emulator. You have to make sure that it's set to the "use aspect ratio" and "stretch to screen" settings....I usually use 8:7 for JRPG's and 4:...

Re: OSX, 1.53(113) TV mode and antialiasing

You're going to have to make a metashader file (.cgp). I am not sure how to do that with Mac OSX but I will give you a sample code. Just create a new text file and when you are done rename the extension at the end of its name from ".txt" to ".cgp" (without quotes) shaders = 2 sha...

Re: Monitor Refresh Sync

Most of the issue is just the way the audio settings are set. Sort of have to explain in short, but I find it very smooth if you match the audio input setting to the SNES sample rat of 32Khz and turn on audio sync. the frame buffer has to be timed to 64ms. Turn off Triple Buffering if you are using ...

JIT

I know SNES9x actively uses GTK to stay cross paltform so my question is this: Has anyone considered adding a JIT compiler to the emulator as an option? It might help get rid of the slow down issues seen when too many sprites come on screen for those who might not want it to happen.

I just installed this emulator after reading your post and WOW IT FUCKING ROCKS! Everyone delete the piece of crap snes9xGX emulator and get that one. I realize this program uses a ported version of snes9x, probably made by the same people that did snes9xgx, but its still way better. You do realize...

Hi there, I am using Snes9x 1.53 on OSX 10.7.5 and can notice some strange effect with Secret of Mana. The NTSC-Version seems to work finde, but I see slowdowns in the PAL-Version. When in disable "Synchronize" in the sound options, there are no slowdowns anymore, but I hear sound bugs. I...
