Oops files and documentation

Post by getittogether »

Hello,

I accidentally hit the escape key and lost a lot of progress in a game. The terminal then told me that and oops file save me state. Now when I went to look through the man file not a single word is mentioned about this AT ALL. No documentation neither.

Does anyone know how these oops files work? or where there's some actual documentation? This is very frustrating :(

rename the .oops file to a numbered save state slot (.000 through .009) and then load with the corresponding F key (where F1 loads [romname].000).

for example, if you're playing awesomegame.sfc, save states will be named awesomegame.000 through awesomegame.009, and the oops file will be awesomegame.oops. if you know you've used save states 1 through 4 and don't want to clobber them, you'd rename awesomegame.oops to awesomegame.004 (which is slot 5), fire up snes9x, and load slot 5 with the F5 key.
