Defrosting State causes Snes9X to Hang [Mac 1.53]

Hey all -
Currently attempting to play Earthbound, and having some issues defrosting states. Before I go on, I'll post some specs.
MacBook Air 4,2 running OS X 10.8.0 (Also had the issue OS upgrade, running 10.7.4)
Running the game, and using SRAM saves works just fine. However, when defrosting a save state, Snes9x hangs, and constantly posts this message to the log:
Snes9x[29021]: Interesting, possibly buggy case: w = 2; k = 0x7fe07fe0
Oddly enough, I was able to use saved states with this computer on Earthbound without issue. I'm also unable to open the .oops freeze that gets created when you pop in and out of emulation, so I don't think it's just the sole state file in question.
I can attach the freezes upon request. Thanks all!
