snes9x stopped working. Don't know how to fix

I was playing earthbound and I changed the sound settings to a different sound choice and the emulator crashed. How do I fix this problem?

You need to be more specific. Are you using Mac, Linux or Windows? What sound settings? What version of Snes9x? 1.51, 1.52 or 1.53? DirectSound, XAudio2, SDL?

I'm using snes9x version 1.5.2.0. I changed to the sound setting SDL when the emulator stopped working. hope that helps!

first off, you should be using the latest official version (1.53).

also, try deleting your snes9x.conf file (in the same directory as the snes9x.exe file) and run snes9x again.
