There is a bug in Snes9x 1.62, Snes9x 1.62.2, Snes9x 1.62.3 & Snes9x 1.63 that causes games to freeze during Netplay when trying to Host a game.
When I want to host a game in order to play multiplayer with a friend I’m only able to do it on Snes9x 1.61 and below. If I use any of the newer Snes9x builds to try to host a game it doesn’t function anymore, it causes the game to freeze immediately.
I’m unable to host games on the following newer snes9x builds: Snes9x 1.62, Snes9x 1.62.2, Snes9x 1.62.3 & Snes9x 1.63.
When I click on Netplay – Act as server (in order to host) it displays the host name and port number then the game / emulator freezes.
Moreover after thoroughly testing various different Snes9x builds I’ve noticed that the person joining (Netplay) is able to successfully join using newer Snes9x builds: Snes9x 1.62, Snes9x 1.62.2, Snes9x 1.62.3 & Snes9x 1.63. However I have to use the older Snes9x 1.61 build in order to successfully be able host.
I’ve tested both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Snes9x 1.62 - Snes9x 1.63 on two different computers and the same issue persists, Netplay (Hosting) is broken on Snes9x 1.62 - Snes9x 1.63.
Netplay broken on Snes9x 1.62, Snes9x 1.62.2, Snes9x 1.62.3 & Snes9x 1.63
