SNES9x file compatibility windows to mac

I'm planning to switch from MACOS emulation to Windows emulation, and I was wondering will any MacOS SNES9x files such as save data, freezes or cheats work with any windows versions?
This is the 32BIt mac emulator version and data that's being used, would they work with Windows SNES9x emulators, either the 32 bit or 64 bit version?
Also on a final note, what is the recommended version of SNES9x to use on windows? Like the one with the most features and least glitches?
