Mouse sensitivity Retropie

Hi, I’ve managed to get a mouse working on retropie for games like MarionPaint and a lemmings 2. However, it is incredibly sensitive, making it unplayable.
When I open retroarch, the mouse slows down and behaves much slower and normally but in game it is super fast. I can’t find a way of lowering the mouse sensitivity. Can anyone help? Fingers crossed.
