XBOX 360 Controller - can´t configure all buttons

Hi guys!
i´ve got an issue with setting up my xbox 360 controller for snes9x.
maybe its worth to mention that i mirror my pc via steam link - the wireless adapters are plugged in in the steam link slots.
my x box controller and all its buttons work fine with common steam applications.
so, i went to the input settings menu in snes9x and managed to configure the following buttons:
up, down, left, right.
when i press "b" (xbox-contr.) for setting "b" on the virtual controller the slot is named "disabled".
when i press "a" (xbox-contr.) for setting "a" on the virtual controller the slot is named "enter".
when i want to set up x,y,start,select,rear left and rear right, snes9x doesn´t respond to any pushing.
i´ts weird, because in steam-applications the controller works fine.
maybe i have to take a look in the main controller-settings in windows?
