NetPlay Lag and Bugs

I was currently testing out the NetPlay feature for 1.54.1 and it currently lags. We have tried multiple latency and frame rate settings but still no luck. Is there any known settings for perfect netplay like Fusion for Sega? Or is this a known issue with NetPlay that is going to be addressed? Any particular plans to improve it or correct settings I should use?
I also tried multiple version but no luck as well. Any help or light on this issue would be great. Thanks for your hard work!
