Snes9x.com

Hi, I'm new here to the forum and I've just started using SNES9x. I downloaded EarthBound from like three different places, and they all have the same problem...When I get to the main menu, and hit a directional button, there's about a second of lag between when press an arrow key and the cursor actually moves. I've tried various settings on SNES9x, thinking it was a graphical problem, but nothing's worked. I tried running FF4 on this emulator as well and it runs just fine with no lag...Does EarthBound have some weird, emulator-specific problem or is there something else I'm missing?

As I mentioned, I'm using a keyboard. I use Windows 7 and my PC is strong enough to emulate at least GameCube and Wii games.
