Bug in Tales of Phantasia?

I'm not sure if this is a bug, or if the game was originally like this, but it seems some of the textures aren't getting rendered properly near the beginning of Tales of Phantasia. They may have originally looked like that, but it looks a bit odd, so I thought I might as well post a bug, just in case. I tested it on both the latest stable release, and the latest test release, and it looks the same on both.

Rendered just fine for me on OSX. justin case, do you have transparencies enabled?

Yes, I do have transparency enabled. I tried Direct3D, and DirectDraw. OpenGL crashes the program (though that is probably a problem on my side, as a different emulator crashes with OpenGL, as well), so I haven't tried OpenGL.

then you have troubles with video drivers, maybe are not updated or not installed at all.

...no. the likelihood of that being the source of OP's problem is slim to none.

he said that got crashes with OpenGL, that means "probably" he have an Intel Graphics with Windows Drivers installed (the ones that lacks of proper OpenGL support).

for Intel Graphics, you need to download the drivers from Intel website, instead of using the ones that Windows install for you.
