Re: questions snes9x
I would try setting the SNES9x video settings and tick the aspect ratio box. The distortion comes from the default video settings in the emulator. You have to make sure that it's set to the "use aspect ratio" and "stretch to screen" settings....I usually use 8:7 for JRPG's and 4:3 for platformers. It comes with built in filters that help immensely with nostalgia. Blarg's NTSC filters should do the trick...but in case you're inclined...you can also use shaders (if you're using Wimdows...use D3D) a GIT repository.

Re: questions snes9x
You have to set the emulator's video settings to use 4:3 aspect ratio and stretch to window...you also have to use the filters in the emulator...

Re: questions snes9x
Since I cannot send attachment files...you will have to download the shaders from the GIT repository...
Just download this...
https://github.com/libretro/common-shad ... master.zip
...and then in your SNES9x folder...create a new folder named Shaders....Empty the contents of the zip file you just downloaded into the folder you just created.
Run SNES9x...and press Alt+F5 on the keyboard. Assuming you are a Windows user...Select Direct 3D as your main video driver....
Use the following settings

Select the shader you want to use...ignore what I have typed in...and if all else fails...use the 4:3 aspect ratio setting.....and a shader...that way you do not have to worry about the distortion.
