New Gamepad Bug

Post by Ilya-v »

I have notices a bug that was not there before August 1.53 testbuild.

I have to set the Up+Left, Up+Right, etc... with a Gamepad to make them work.
Before I just set the Up,Dow,Left,Right and it was enough.

Tested with Earthworm Jim 1/2.

The only reason said options are there is for games that require you to press diagonal directions. I've never needed to use it.

What operating system are you using? 32 or 64bit? Version of Snes9x? Is the text at the bottom of the window white when you load the game?

I never needed to use it too.

But now I have to, because diagonals do not work in games anymore (with my DS3 and MotionInJoy setup).
I once could set the four directions and be done... not anymore.
I have to set the diagonal for them to work in games with my ds3.
Although with keyboard I still don't need to set the diagonals, because they still WORK only setting the four directions.

Nothing changed in MotionInJoy.

OV2 please check this if you can.

You need to set diagonals if you use a controller that reports its digi-pad as a pov hat, since pov hats have 8 distinct directions. If it reports it as a joystick axis then setting the four directions is enough.
