AVI recordings have choppy sound

Post by ixfd64 »

Whenever I play a video recorded by Snes9x, the sound always comes out choppy. This happens for both 1.51 and 1.53. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I've provided some (hopefully useful) information about my setup:

OS: Windows XP SP3
Sync sound: enabled
Sound driver: Snes9x DirectSound
Playback rate: 32 kHz
Mix interval: 10 ms
Buffer length: 40 ms
Fake mute desync workaround: enabled
CPU sound emulation: enabled
Compressor: full frames

Thanks.

Are you recording via the built-in AVI recorder? I'd recommend recording using a external program such as Fraps or Camstudio.

What operating system are you using? 32 or 64bit? Version of Snes9x? Is the text at the bottom of the window white when you load the game?
