Change save folder

Post by SeeDborg »

Hi everyone.

I'd like to have my saves in the same folder than my roms, not in a specific "save" folder, is that possible ?
Please note that my roms are NOT all in the same folder (they're sort alphabetically, I have a "A" folder, a "B" folder, etc.)

Thanks for your answers !

If you are using the windows port, then that is not possible. I'm not sure about the other ports.

Actually, it should work, here's how:

Emulation > Settings...

From the drop down list, pick Saves (We'll be doing this to repeat to process for SRAM as well).

Then in the Directory field, change the text in there to:

Code: Select all

.\Roms
Do the same for the SRAM setting as well, and both Save States and Game Saves will go into the ROM folder.

Here's a screenshot of the settings window I'm talking about as well:

What operating system are you using? 32 or 64bit? Version of Snes9x? Is the text at the bottom of the window white when you load the game?
These suggestions are usually the solution to your issue!

The problem is, my roms are not in the "Roms" folder.
Moreover, all of them are in separate folders (A, B, C, etc., read my first post again).

So apparently there is no solution... Too bad :(

Anyone knows another emulator which does that ?
