Infinite Saves

Probably a newbie question, but I want to be able to make infinite saves, and not rely on save positions like 1-10. Instead, I would like just a normal dialog, preferably with a hotkey that auto-increments the save game file, in order to save my game. Is this possible or a workaround possible?

Try using snes9x-rr for that, I think is has the option for unlimited save states.
