Not a lot of choices there. At the least add an 'other' option.

Anyway Chrono Trigger I suppose but whether i'm playing it on an emulator or not has little to no relevance in my response.

What operating system are you using? 32 or 64bit? Version of Snes9x? Is the text at the bottom of the window white when you load the game?

Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest

My favorite part about this genre is that if you can stand it, they can be played on just about any platform even if it's sluggish. Trying to play Mario Brothers on a slow Pocket PC emulator is hell. But playing Dragon Warrior 4 is not bad.

Is there a way to hack the frame rate on those systems? Because that would really speed it up, and you don't need smooth frame rate with RPGs like this. I think 1/3 frame rate should do?

Well, it CAN depend on what RPG you're playing, if you play SMRPG, you're gonna need good timing to get anything right if the speed is all wacko...

I must read this stupid sentence over and over, I find it quite fascinating.

I want to choose Lennus II but there is no option for it, you should've put a "Other" option, but I voted for Chrono Trigger anyway...

although Chrono trigger is more detailed, final fantasys main enemy is satin in the flesh. unlike Chrono trigger having a giant creature that cant even speak English.

Chrono Trigger certainly took full advantage of the Snes' SPC700/S-SMP, that's for sure. With talents like Yasunori Mitsuda, Noriko Matsueda and Nobuo Uematsu, it was and still is one heck of a soundtrack!

I voted for Final Fantasy and I will tell you why.

The key word here is 'emulated'. Final Fantasy games benefit the most from having a fast-forward key.

Chrono Trigger has some lengthy 'cutscenes', but the dead time is kept to a minimum and the battles are pretty snappy and rarely reduce to "hold A until they're all dead."

Final Fantasy, on the other hand, has random encounters. And sometimes they're just tedious. At times like that, having a fast-forward button cuts the tedium down to a minimum.

The only time I want to fast-forward SMRPG is after winning a battle... and I have an actual SNES cartridge. I'd rather play it on the actual system. :D
