I notice that this game "Justice League Task Force" has issues with the audio. It cancels out, plays too fast, and it eventuality crashes the game. I tried this game with other emulators and it plays fine, so it seems like a new bug to me. I tried different audio drivers (the new xaudio2 as well), and it seems like a general emulator issue altogether. Yes the rom is a good dump as well. I tried the non fixed versions of this emulator and the problem is still there.

Was the problem present in Snes9x 1.51?

I tested the game on snes9x 1.51 for you :)

And it runs fine on it.

It seems this game is suffering the same issues with the Spider Man game I mentioned on my previous post.

So it seems the problem lies with the new SNES APU emulation method (blargg_spc)... Not much I can do about it though. :?

It's not the APU emulation, it's the CPU emulation and the timing hacks around it. blargg's SPC is the most accurate... it's the Snes9x's CPU component is not what it needs to be to emulate particular games properly.

O yes, the game works fine in 1.51. I figured something did break in the updates. Its the only game I have a problem with so I can wait until there is a fix for it.

Before I start up my emulator I get this message.

Failed to initialize currently selected display output!
Try switching to a different output method in the display settings.

I've tried switching to all the different outputs, but nothing seems to work. The audio is coming through just fine but the screen stays completely black. How do I fix the video?

Change the display output to DirectDraw. Some video cards just don't like Direct3D, for some reason. :|

My thoughts exactly, I always swear by Intel or nVidia.

Well sadly this netbook has an Intel chipset in it, and it doesn't like D3D. :?

It's because it's integrated GFX, and not a Graphics card. Integrated GFX often reports it's capabilities to programs incorrectly, which is why you get strange graphical errors, or sometimes no functionality at all (in your case)!

Yeah, we aren't really supporting Win98 anymore, sorry folks.

You might just want to stick to version 1.51

To this day I'm still confused as to why people refuse to upgrade from 98 to XP (there's always installing dual boot OSes)...

Dualboot 98\XP = XP says DO NOT WANT 98 DUALBOOT.

I have a Windows 7 and XP set up as a dual boot, with XP first and then 7, but so far I never had any problems.

XP doesn't care about Windows 7 though, since they each have their own bootloader.

98 has no bootloader, so you need to use LILO or GRUB4DOS if you want to dualboot 98/XP.
