whenever i attempt to create or defrost a freeze state, my mac gets The Dumb, Aka Beach Ball of Doom. Which is to say it hangs indefinitely and i must force quit to get my computer back. I searched for the appropriate answer and was not able to find it. so here i am (rock you like a hurricane).
