Like I said, it pauses or freezes whenever you try to record with FRAPS, but if you fidget around with the GUI for a bit, then it starts working again. I don't know why, but it also happens whenever "Pause while inactive" is disabled. I cannot initialize DirectX mode because my laptop's graphics card is incompatible with DirectX 9. The emulator can only be available for recording while DirectX or OpenGL graphics mode is active. Despite that there is an internal AVI recording feature, I use FRAPS anyway so I can record live commentary while playing.

WARNING: Occasionally, the emulator will crash instead of freeze, and then it takes FRAPS with it.
