Question regarding sound channels

Post by DjKlzonez »

I've heard ZSNES has an option to disable sound channels, but can Snes9X disable them, too?

I only know about the music box option, but i want to disable them IN-GAME, is that possible in this emulator?

Sound>Settings...>Mute Sound (checkbox)

This is assuming you have version 1.52fix4.

What operating system are you using? 32 or 64bit? Version of Snes9x? Is the text at the bottom of the window white when you load the game?

Actually, snes9x v1.52 fix 4 is for the windows version.. it would've helped to specify the mac version in your starting post..

The windows port exposes the option to enable/disable individual sound channels, but I don't think the mac osx version allows you to do this. No idea if zones wants to add it. I've never used it myself... although it can provide quite amusing effects :D

See 'Help menu - Snes9x Help - Controllers Support - Additional Keyboard Controls' for additional features such as sound channel on/off.
