Anybody able to use controllers in Flatpak v1.54.1? (Linux)

If you're having problems with Snes9x, or think you've found a bug, this is the place to be.

Anybody able to use controllers in Flatpak v1.54.1? (Linux)

Post by Mr. Matt Eastwood »

Hey guys, I installed the Flatpak of 1.54.1 on Linux Mint 18.3 on my desktop PC and Ubuntu 17.10 on my laptop yesterday.

I have 4 controllers, 2 Afterglow Xbox 360s and 2 Logitech F310s.

All 4 controllers work perfectly on ZSNES on both my computers, but Snes9x doesn't recognize any of them. When trying to configure the controllers in the Preferences menu, nothing happens.

Has anybody been able to get controllers to work with the Flatpak? What did you do? I can work around the issue on Mint 18.3 by using Antimicro to map keyboard keys to controller buttons, but the devs of that app have stopped supporting it and it's not available on 17.10. :-(

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Recent Linux has changed the enumeration of joystick devices and SDL 1 has trouble finding them. I’ve already changed to SDL 2 for the next release.
