How to Remove all traces of snes9x?

Post by luckevega »

Main question: Does this image/icon originate from snes9x?

Hello, some time ago I installed snes9x. It worked perfectly. :)
As it's a small file I left it on my computer.
I do not need it any more, I do not intend to use it.

Recently I tried to install a game (happened with more than one) through a .iso image. Everything was going well until it was time to try to install the game. Aviam two files, one .exe (the installer) another .bin (the files to be installed).
However the .bin file was marked as snes9x type. I was able to reverse the situation.
But the executable still opens in the wrong way (it has this blue triangle icon that I do not recognize anywhere), I'm not sure if it's some vestige of snes9x, but the window thumbnail resembles an emulator.

Sorry for bad English  . And if that's not your problem. I do not know what else to do  .

That icon isn't related to Snes9x at all that I know of. I have never seen it in conjunction with it, at least not the Windows port.

I would suggest following the instructions outlined here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... -windows-7
This should work even if you're running Windows 8/8.1/10
