hello, I downloaded the snes9x emulator version 1.54.1 from the download section given from the snes9x.com page (this is the link https://sites.google.com/site/bearoso/). on the file "readme-windows.txt" one can read :
Files included in the Snes9x archive:
Snes9x.exe
fmod.dll
readme-windows.txt
faqs-windows.txt
changes.txt
snes9x-license.txt
the file fmod.dll is missing.
does the snes9x v 1.54.1 needs this file? thanks.
fmod is an audio library; you won't hurt anything by trying to run snes9x without it. if snes9x fails or you have audio issues, grab a copy of the file from a previous release (which seems to be how everyone else has unintentionally done it, assuming we've been installing to the same location as a previous installation).

snes9x is working fine without this file, thanks for the clarification.
