Save State Mapped to Controller

Post by Chidsuey »

I'm trying to map the savestate0 and load0 to my controller, a Logitech F710. All of the mappings on the joypad configuration work just fine, and when I go to Hotkey configuration, it recognizes the buttons when I enter them. However, when I try to use them during play, they don't function. Anyone know what the problem is? Thanks.

Check in snes9x.conf that Handler:Joystick is set to ON.

It is on.

Handler:Joystick = ON # on to detect game controller buttons assigned to hotkeys. May impact performance.

Works fine with my F310. Note that hotkey handling on controllers will only work while a game is running (and not paused).
