Connecting controllers to Snes9x EX for Android

Post by amihart »

I'm trying to connect my Wiimote to my MK808B Android MiniPC with Snes9x.
I press 1+2 and click "Scan for Wiimote/iCP/JS1" but then it says "Failed opening a bluetooth connection".

I also tried my Wii U Pro Controller because I was told that works as well but I get the same issue.

Any ideas? It's running Android 4.2.2.

This is because Google and Android removed support for Wii Remotes as of 4.2.x. Not much you can do except downgrade to an OS that is based off Android 4.1.2.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is why for awhile I HATED 4.2.2 (till I learned to live with Sixaxis lol) and why my Nexus 7 is locked to 4.1.2

EDIT: Additionally, why are you using Snes9X EX? You should be able to run EX+ just fine on that setup. Snes9X EX+ is based off the latest code and cores, so everything works and sounds better :)
